Leonine by ElDuraznoMuerte
Leonine
Hey, maybe I should draw my OWN character sometime?  This is a sort of "rough draft" of the design.

Leo's a shapeshifting psychic alien infiltrator from a distant dimension.  Chameleonoids like them are sent out to distant worlds to assess worlds and recommend for their creators, the People of the Violet Star, to destroy, subjugate, or consume them.  Leo decided that none of these fates were acceptable for Earth and turned on their fellows, and later had the opportunity to join a superhero team that would become known as The Unwelcome.

Also, I have NO IDEA how to draw filigree.

Basketcase and the Starlight Crusaders by ElDuraznoMuerte
Basketcase and the Starlight Crusaders
My RPG group is doing a beta-run of a system called Masks  It's pretty fun stuff, very loose and fluff-oriented, with mechanics that encourage trying things you're likely to fail at and spinning a good story out of your fumbling.  Our super team is called "the Unwelcome," inspired by seeing our pictures lined up on an "unwelcome in this establishment" sign in a pizzeria we used to frequent.

One of our number started off with a psychic Delinquent whose mission statement was "basically Jotaro Kujo," though he grew beyond that pretty fast.  The name's "Basketcase," from a family of Green Day references.  Recently, his player decided to take a break from Basket, and I just wanted to give the guy a good sendoff.  Looks like after he leaves the team, he gets a book to cover his adventures in space with his grandpa, September.

You know, maybe I should have put myself in the credits somewhere?  Oh well.

The lettering here was done by one Wack'd Productions, whose logos for our party gave me the idea to do this in the first place.
Basketcase and the whole Verdant clan belong to Maxwellelvis.
The young lady in the corner box is Maggie May, cosmically-powered hero who belongs to Something Fangirly.

(It also led me to learn about painted elephants in India, which is even cooler.)

Sure thing!  The picture made my friends and I imagine an Easter Elephant hunt in the tall grass.

Granted, they wouldn't be very hard to find, and I'm not sure how you'd coax them home.

LOL....yes I do believe the elephants would be easy to find even in tall grass..even if they were painted ;). As for coaxing the elephants home....I hear they are fond of peanuts :P

The elephant girl piece was inspired from the painted elephant pics I stumbled across on google while researching elephants....I had no idea that they painted live elephants in India before then. It is truly amazing seeing the living art that the elephants become once painted. :)
